Criminal Justice
Crimes, drug use, and violence (especially against women) are getting out of hand. Between 50 to 80 percent of men who are arrested, tests positively for drugs. This has led to a vicious cycle of criminal activity and drug use. And according to the National Institute of Justice, about 1.3 million women are physically assaulted by an intimate partner each year. Also, the way the police are handling crimes is a bit of a problem to. Sometimes cops will stop an African American person, search them, and charge them for crime whether they're innocent or not. And they do this way more than they do to a white person. And stalking is happening a lot more often than before. Hillary believes that our criminal justice system is out of balance and she plans on fixing it by strengthening background checks and closing dangerous loopholes in the current system, holding irresponsible dealers and manufacturers accountable, and keeping guns out of the hands of terrorists, domestic abusers, other violent criminals, and the severely mentally ill. Hillary Clinton is best suited for this because she's one of the candidates that's aware the police sometimes abuse their power and that guns are getting into the wrong hands and being used irresponsibly. But while Hillary wants the good people to be able to afford guns and the bad people to never own a gun ever again, some people want no restrictions on guns whatsoever while others think guns should just be banned from everyone. But both of this just proves to be terrible ideas because if there were no restrictions, criminals could just easily get their hands on guns. And if they were banned, no one could defend themselves against any criminal (armed or unarmed). In conclusion, Hillary wants people to be able to afford guns so they can protect themselves and their families.
